Group classes are an affordable option to allow you to experience mindful movement. They can also be a great way to feel part of a community and make new friends. However, they are not recommended if you are in need of therapeutic and rehabilitative care, at least initially. Also, if you are interested in deepening your practice, the watchful eye of an instructor will be most helpful to you as you refine and polish your technique.

With these ideas in mind, our policy at UP Studio is 3 private sessions before joining a group reformer or GYROTONIC® tower class. If you are injured or rehabilitating, a minimum of 10 sessions is required. Pilates mat and GYROKINESIS® classes may be attended with no prior experience unless you have an active injury.
